Nikita Outerwear was founded in 2000 in Reykyavik, Iceland by Heida Birgisdottir, who is still Nikita’s head designer. Heida had a great passion for fashion, but spent more time snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing than on the catwalk. The combination of action sports and fashion quickly proved to be a success. Started from a small shop called “The Missing Link”, Nikita quickly became a popular street wear brand locally, and today, Nikita clothing is now sold in 30 countries all over the world.
