GRAVIS FOOTWEAR Founded in Burlington, Vermont in 1998, Gravis Footwear has been making quality sneakers, clothing, and bags that are comfortable, stylish and functional for over a decade. Gravis grew out of the Burton Snowboarding company, and maintains its ties to the action sports community with their design aesthetic, and by sponsoring surfers, snowboarders, and skateboarders on their pro tours. Gravis was blazing trails from the very beginning, offering up some of the first flex-fit style hats that are now ubiquitous, and comfortable stylish leather slip-ons. Gravis is committed to bringing in fresh designers and collaborating to put out fresh new looks consistently. Gravis derives its creative inspiration from sport, classic design, contemporary music and urban art, and combines these elements into every product it makes. Working closely with a team of professional snowboarders, surfers, musicians, and artists, Gravis develops shoes, bags, and accessories for today's active lifestyle. Gravis began in 1998 with a small line of bags, sneakers, and hats that targeted the skateboarding lifestyle, the "skate" arm of Burton Snowboards. The company has grown and now offers a full line of men's and women's sneakers and sandals, backpacks, messengers, ipod accessories, shirts, hoodies, hats, purses, wallets and a few other random things.
